The ARENA cabinet series breaks new ground for effective sound reinforcement in rooms of various sizes. The specially designed crossover circuit produces two different signals for the midrange and highrange section: one signal is equalized for near-field reproduction while the second signal provides a long-throw characteristic for deep rooms. Both signals can be activated via a switch on the back panel of the cabinet. A second switch activates the DHF diffraction beamer for reproduction of the highest audio spectrum. Versatility and ease of use at its best.
All cabinets have apart from the connection dish also a third switch, which allows to work in passive or active. When you switch on active, the crossovers remain out of the circuit, remaining only the protection circuit.
All top cabinets are equipped with a 2” CD horn with 60° x 40° coverage for a powerful wall-to-wall midrange and highrange signal. The additional DHF diffraction beamers provide those silky and transparent highs above 12kHz up to 30kHz that make for a superior intelligibility and a spacious 3D stereo image, particularly in the near-field. This construction yields a sound with high resolution and precision that meets even the highest home-stereo standards and also fulfils the requirements for the latest surround technologies.
All ARENA series cabinets have, of course, all tried and tested features that the name ZECK stands for: a two-stage electronic protection for all highrange and midrange drivers, powder-coated aluminum edges, a shock-resistant water-based coating and a massive front-grille made of a warp-resistant perforated steel plate with a foam back layer.
All the ARENA cabinets have a hole where you optionally can put in the flying rails (three for the AF 12.2 and five for the rest of models). You only have to take off the wooden cover to install optionally flying set.
The models AF 215.2 and AF 215.2/1500 have incorporated two wheels and an additional handle, in order to make more easy their transport. There is also an optional wheel set which can be installed on all subwoofer except the ARENA AF 18.SUB.
All the models have incorporated the new ergonomic wooden handle, which has important advantages regarding the metal handle. One important advantage is, that it does not brake with the structure of the cabinet and avoid also resonance, parasites, without pressure leakage, etc.
The ARENA series offers the touring musician a cleverly designed universal and professional sound system, suited for rooms of all possible sizes. But besides PA use, the ARENA system is also highly recommended for use in use in discotheques and installed sound systems.
One can hardly think of a more versatile speaker cabinet.
